Python packaging is harder than it should be

I was so pleased to come across this great article on the pain of Python packaging .

My approach to Python packaging has been to 'just make it work', not getting too deeply into the details because life's too short y'know.

But the comfort of knowing that there are others out there who feel the way I do - priceless.
